Vinous Neal Martin - 01 May 19
The 2011 Vosne-Romanée Village has a detailed bouquet with lifted blackberry and wild strawberry scents, demonstrating fine mineralité for a village cru and it opens beautifully in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannin. Maybe it is a little pinched compared to the Chambolle-Musigny as it does not have the same depth on the finish, but it is brimming of freshness. A little ingénue! Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.
